城市擴張雖會造成重工業的外移，但輕型工業如組裝或加工等因交通便利的因素反而會大量擴張。於是，如倉庫或中小型工廠這些低成本的建築開始環繞在城市周圍，形成一種嚴重惡化的都市景觀。既然生產出的產品是供給城市所需，我們是否可將工業景觀變得更吸引人?我們是否可將建築立面展示其可購買的相關產品?

In most cities, although urban sprawl causes the relocation of heavy industries to more suburban areas, light industries such as assemblage or post-processing consequently expand for easy service connection to the city. These low-cost buildings such as warehouses or mid-scale factories scatter all around the city and severely deteriorate urban landscape. Since the products made are most for the city, can we make industrial landscape more exciting? Can we make the building façade showing its related shoppable product?
